DISKLESS = COMPUTER WITHOUT HARD DISK

question 1:
what is diskless system?
- diskless system is a setup which consists of a server and a client connected via network through switch (i never done this using crossover cable, which means no switch is needed). so basically the client will boot os (operating system) from the server.

question 2:
why diskless?
- less maintenance, more time to do something else :). (ONE TIME OS INSTALLATION)

question 3:
where we should implement this?
- schools, CYBERCAFE, office, etc

senang cerita, diskless system ini memudahkan pengusaha cc, atau makmal sekolah, atau office untuk mengurangkan bebanan 'maintenance', kerana dengan sistem ini, kita tidak perlu lagi risau tentang virus atau pengguna pc mengubah sistem pc tersebut. ini kerana, os (operating system, e.g windows, linux) tidak disimpan di dalam pc, sebaliknya disimpan di server. DAN YANG PALING MENARIK, kita hanya perlu install windows sekali untuk seberapa banyak pc yang anda mahu (dengan syarat). sahaja kita akan berbincang dengan lebih lanjut mengenai topik ini.

NETWORKING FOR CYBERCAFE / NETWORKING UNTUK CYBERCAFE

im writing this because i just finish doing network setup in Bandar Seri Alam, Johor, Malaysia

Networking setup for 20 pc / network setup untuk cybercafe (20 pc)
1. a box of CAT 6 network cable - 305 metres
2. 40 pcs of RJ45 - in case if there is any error in clamping the RJ45
3. RJ45/15 clamp
4. a bunch of cable casing


the finishing...


and i manage to do it alone...for 2 days
